Grassroots advocates, survivors of suicide, coalition and task force members met at the state capitol to increase awareness of the impact suicide has on our Florida families and communities and support suicide prevention efforts.

Events of the day 

Displays were set up in the Rotunda and Capitol Courtyard from 8:30 – 4:00  

Legislative visits from 8:30 - 4:00 – This was a great opportunity to educate our Florida Senators and Representatives on how suicide impacts the counties in their districts and to ask them to support the bills creating a Statewide Office for Suicide Prevention.

Packets were delivered to the Senators and House members to include:
