The first meeting in Palm Beach County of the FLORIDA SUICIDE PREVENTION COALITION.

There were 14 in attendance from various agencies.  Agencies included Mental Health Association, The Center for Family Services, The Health Care District-School Behavioral Health, Communities in School, Palm Beach County Health Department, South County Mental Health Center, The Center for Information and Crisis Services (211), Compass, Urban League, FISP, and Palm Beach County School Board.  This was the first meeting for Palm Beach County to bring Suicide awareness to the  community.  The facilitator was the Director of District 9 Rene D. Favreau.  The meeting focused on Suicide Prevention and an introduction of the Coalition to the attendees.  Our next meeting will be held April 23, 2003.
